We created casual elegance for this longtime client and helped them transition from a previous home we designed for them to a senior living community. The client wanted to keep their existing furnishings and heirloom rugs, and have them re-arranged and re-tooled for the new space. We selected the pieces to keep, and embellished those with new artwork and window treatments. The design features an existing rug as the cornerstone of the room. Upholstered pieces were recovered with a soft, seafoam green chenille fabric with contrast cord and subtle patterns to complement the decor. New fabrics were selected to be comfortable, as well as anti-microbial, water-resistant, and highly durable. Translucent window treatments enhance the light, airy feel of the room while new art and accessories provide a refreshing look.
The client’s existing furnishings were incorporated with refinishing and re-upholstery. New lighting and added draperies complete the ensemble to create a comfortable, attractive dining room space.
We focused our design for the bathroom around the vintage mirror that the client kept, and we created a Parisian theme. We designed the cabinets with crystal knobs, replaced the countertop, and added new lighting and tile.
To add interest in the kitchen we have a floral pattern painted on the backsplash to feel very warm and welcoming with soft tones. This added feature completes the room and connects it to the dining room, which has the same floral pattern on the draperies.
