WINNER 2019 ASID DESIGN EXCELLENCE AWARD- CEILING DESIGN
The client wished to update their master bedroom, which hadn’t been done since the 1980’s. We dramatically transformed the space by using reclaimed barn board in a white washed finish in a carefully orchestrated pattern on the ceiling. The ceiling creates a stunning overhead accent that draws they eye upward, providing an increased feeling of warmth and spaciousness.
The bedroom has been transformed into a restful getaway for the clients. They feel as if they are on a getaway vacation when in the room.
We designed and created custom-made bedding utilizing the client’s favorite colors of navy and coral. We chose a two-tone textured plush carpet having a perfect mix of beige and grey to draw out the accents of the new wood ceiling and paints in the room. A petite yet comfortable navy sofa was placed at the foot of the bed to provide accent and comfortable seating. Draperies serve as a connecting component of the design in a soft pattern that is timeless and classic.
Custom, built-in cabinets, designed to look like furniture were built in to the Master Foyer to create ample storage in a previously under-utilized space.
Custom, bookcases were built in to the Upstairs Foyer to create ample storage in a previously under-utilized space while increasing coziness.
We embellished the entire home with artwork, area rugs and accessories for the comfort and enjoyment of the client
