This project involved updating the entire first floor of the home while retaining existing cabinets and materials. We had the kitchen cabinets re-stained to adjust the ambered maple to an updated warm, driftwood color with greyed overtones. New wood rebuffed, the color adjusted and then recoated. We selected more contemporary paint colors and re-tooled the fireplace surrounding with new tile and stone. We converted the peninsula into a larger island with ample storage space and updated the counter tops, sink, faucets and hardware. LED under-cabinet lighting was also installed throughout the entire kitchen area for a dramatic effect! We transformed the space with updated furnishings to convert the outdated style into a modern, comfortable, cozy space that will last for years to come.
