We completely transformed the space to create a spa getaway bathroom. Expert space planning provided the vision to merge an unused storage room and the original powder room. We took down the walls and conjoined the two. Our design reflects a nautical, sailboat theme while keeping a casual and comfortable feel. A stunning stone countertop and a wall-to-wall mirror with crackle glass pendant lights create drama and interest. We chose a curved vessel sink to reflect waves, creating move movement, adding to the nautical theme. The wall mounted faucet and handles have twists like the tide.
We chose wood-like porcelain tile to fit the theme with its driftwood like features. We went with floating cabinets, and a rustic pine door to resemble a ship’s wood.
We also incorporated a large shower including a bench seat, with penny tile as a border and an accent. It used a glass barndoor for the entrance.
For the first-floor bathroom we carried the nautical themes by continuing the sail-like feel, incorporating more blues and accent art to accentuate the colors. We chose a vintage-style marble countertop and a white, barndoor vanity.
The accessories added help to compliment the themes chosen.
